Introducing Lifecharts

Lifecharts turns the chapters of your life into one timeline you can share as a link or embed on your own site.

By HranessLatest release: v1.0.5

Drafted with AI from the source code and reviewed by Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5) independent editorial review.

Chart your life in chapters

Lifecharts is a free timeline maker for your life. Add the cities, schools, jobs, and people that shaped it, and see them on one line you can share as a link or put on your own site.

Draw it as

Every chapter on one line of time, so you see what overlapped.

Every chapter on one line of time, so you see what overlapped.
Six made-up chapters, from growing up in Tucson in 1994 to teaching pottery now.

Two ways to read the same years

Lifecharts draws the same years two ways. Timeline shows when each chapter happened and what overlapped. Bars lines up how long each one lasted, so the long stretches and the short ones are easy to compare.

Growing up in Tucson, about 18 years, is the widest bar here.

Step back and see a whole life

Turn on the whole-life view to set your chapters against a horizon you pick, up to 150 years. It is a way to look at time, not a life-expectancy estimate.

This chart uses a 90-year horizon; you can pick any length up to 150 years.

Or let your agent draft it

Tell your coding agent a few lines about your life. The Lifecharts skill turns them into a checked timeline link you can open, fix by hand, and share. No account or API key.

The same command runs from a terminal if you would rather skip the agent.

Not only for a whole life

A Lifecharts timeline can start at a birthday, a first job, a move, or the first day of a project. A career, a company, or a family's years in one house fit the same way. If you need photos or a team editing together, use a fuller timeline tool.

The last bar is a planned chapter: a restaurant opening in 2027.

Your story, on your own page

We want the shape of your time to be as easy to share as a photo. Paste one line of code into an about page or a newsletter, and the chart shows there, with no profile or feed attached.

An embed can use any of the three views; this site picked Bars.

What it does not do

A timeline holds up to 30 chapters of text. There are no photos, no collaboration, and no accounts, and your draft stays in your browser until you share it.

A chart holds up to 30 chapters, and the command says so when a file has more.

Free on the web today

Lifecharts is free to use in your browser, with nothing to sign up for. The agent skill and command line tool are out now. Latest release: v1.0.5.

The same chart as the first one, drawn in Timeline view.
